Week 9 PPR Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings
Cooper Kupp Remains #1, but Michael Pittman Jr. is climbing up the rankings
Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Tennessee Titans
Kupp has been the #1 receiver in the NFL so far this season both in fantasy and real life. He is uncover-able and is the #1 receiver every single week until the season ends. Expect another 100+ with 1-2 touchdowns receiving game from Kupp against the Titans.
Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs, Opponent: Green Bay Packers
Hill has been double-covered all year long, but I am expecting one of his elite 100+ yards, 2 touchdown type games in a high-scoring contest against the Packers.
Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers: Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs
Davante Adams is always one of the top receivers as long as he is healthy, but he isn’t #1 anymore. Cooper Kupp has become so consistent that he is leaps and bounds better than every receiver in the NFL this season. Adams should be able to play this weekend against the Chiefs and their horrible defense.
If this is the case, then Adams will not disappoint. has gotten the green light on playing this weekend and he will dominate the Chiefs and their awful defense.
DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals, Opponent: San Francisco 49ers
Hopkins has been great the past few weeks and he should have another monster game against the 49ers this weekend, who have one of the weakest secondaries in the NFL.
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings, Opponent: Baltimore Ravens
As I predicted, Jefferson was covered by Trevon Diggs last weekend and couldn’t get much going. This weekend will be different though so expect a bounce-back game for Jefferson against the Ravens.
Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills, Opponent: Jacksonville Jaguars
Coming off of a big game against the Dolphins where Diggs pulled in one of his 3 touchdowns on the year, he should be due for another big game against the Jaguars. Start him with confidence this weekend.
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers, Opponent: Arizona Cardinals
Samuel remains the 49ers’ #1 option, and even going up against a tough Cardinals defense, Samuel will have a good game. He did last time, and he should again.
Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Tennessee Titans
Cooper Kupp’s outstanding season isn’t affecting Robert Woods that much anymore. Woods had a touchdown run and a touchdown catch against the Texans last weekend and has overall played well in four straight good games. This should indicate that more consistent fantasy production is to come for Woods. Start him with confidence against the Titans.
D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers, Opponent: New England Patriots
The Patriots have a fantastic defense, but D.J. Moore remains the Panthers’ #1 option without Christian McCaffrey so you have to start him since he could explode for 30+ fantasy points. It all depends on Sam Darnold’s play.
Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers, Opponent: Philadelphia Eagles
Allen finally pulled in a touchdown and was the focal point of the Chargers struggling offense last weekend against the Patriots. Expect Allen to have another great week against the struggling Eagles and their inconsistent defense.
Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals, Opponent: Cleveland Browns
Ja’Marr Chase is Ja’Marr Chase and should pull in a touchdown even if it’s Joe Burrow’s only one against a pretty good defense. Nonetheless, Cleveland’s biggest defensive weakness is their secondary so maybe Chase is due for another huge day.
Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers, Opponent: Chicago Bears
Johnson has been Big Ben’s #1 receiver all season long and has been consistent all season long. Start him, even against the Bears who have a formidable defense and secondary.
Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers, Opponent: Philadelphia Eagles
Although people have been quiet about it, Mike Williams played with an injury last weekend against the Patriots and obviously looked awful. If Williams is fully healthy this weekend against the Eagles, expect a big-time Mike Williams performance since the Eagles defense hasn’t been that good.
Adam Theilen, Minnesota Vikings, Opponent: Baltimore Ravens
Theilen is always a threat to put up 25 fantasy points, but that also comes with being a threat to put up 5 as well. It all depends on how much Kirk Cousins targets Theilen. I think Theilen will have another solid game against the Ravens. Start him with confidence.
Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts, Opponent: New York Jets
Pittman Jr. is coming off of another huge week against the Titans where he put up 31 fantasy points. Expect another huge performance against the Jets, but be advised that if T.Y. Hilton plays, his production could dwindle a little bit.
Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys, Opponent: Denver Broncos
Without Dak Prescott last week Cooper had an amazing 27 fantasy point performance. However, it remains to be seen if Prescott with actually play this weekend and if he will be the actual Dak Prescott if he does decide to play this weekend.
Either way, Cooper is one of the top 10 best receivers in the NFL and maybe even the best route runner in the NFL. However, his fantasy production is too inconsistent to warrant a top 10 ranking this weekend.
Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens, Opponent: Minnesota Vikings
Going up against the Vikings and being Lamar Jackson’s #1 receiver, Brown is due for a big game this weekend so start him with confidence.
Julio Jones, Tennessee Titans, Opponent: Los Angeles Rams
With Jalen Ramsey going up against A.J. Brown, Jones will have to pick up the offensive slack, which means he could have a huge game. Start him with confidence this weekend despite his lackluster fantasy performances in recent memory this year.
A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans, Opponent: Los Angeles Rams
Brown is coming off of two monster performances. However, Jalen Ramsey will be covering him, so I expect a little decline in production this weekend against the Rams.
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys, Opponent: Denver Broncos
Lamb’s fantasy outlook is hard to gauge considering Dak Prescott is questionable to play this weekend. Although he is leaning toward returning, we don’t know what Prescott we will get, which could mean limited production for Lamb.
Kadarius Toney, New York Giants, Opponent: Las Vegas Raiders
If Toney is healthy and plays, he will have a monster game against a week Raiders defense. Start him with confidence if he’s good to go.
Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins, Opponent: Houston Texans
Waddle is Tua Tagovailoa’s #1 option and since the Dolphins are going up against a weak Texans defense, you must start him.
Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans, Opponent: Miami Dolphins
Cooks has been inconsistent in fantasy production. However, he is still Davis Mills’ best receiver and is a must-start when the Texans are going up against other struggling teams like the Dolphins.
Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos, Opponent: Dallas Cowboys
Sutton remains the Broncos’ #1 receiver if Jerry Jeudy doesn’t return this weekend. However, Trevon Diggs will get his assignment so don’t be surprised if Sutton has less than 5 fantasy points, even being the #1 option at WR for the Broncos.
DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles, Opponent: Los Angeles Chargers
I know it’s hard to start a guy that has been so inconsistent, but he remains the Eagles’ #1 receiver if they ever decide to pass. Smith either has a huge game or a dud of a game. It depends on who you have, but I would personally sit him this weekend.
