Week 8 PPR Fantasy Football Wide Receivers
Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs, Opponent: New York Giants
Hill should have an amazing day against a pretty bad Giants defense. The Chiefs always win when they give Hill the ball, so they will get him the ball since they have been losing so much lately.
Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Houston Texans
Cooper Kupp is productive every week and that shouldn’t change against the Texans and their bad defense. Start Kupp with confidence at WR1.
Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals, Opponent: New York Jets
Chase is going to have 2 touchdown catches against a horrendous Jets team. Start him with supreme confidence since he has been on a mission to have the best offensive rookie season in years.
DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals, Opponent: Green Bay Packers
Hopkins has been great the past few weeks and he should have another monster game against the Packers this weekend.
Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills, Opponent: Miami Dolphins
Diggs has been up and down all season long, but the Dolphins defense is terrible and even with Xavien Howard being assigned to him this weekend, I think he will pull in a touchdown.
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys, Opponent: Minnesota Vikings
Lamb has been Dak Prescott’s #1 receiver so far this season and he is bound for another big game against the Vikings, who struggle to contain Wide Receivers.
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers, Opponent: Chicago Bears
Samuel is the 49ers’ #1 option on the offensive end. Being targeted at least 10 times a game, Samuel’s consistent fantasy production this season is no fluke. Start him at WR1 with confidence.
D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers, Opponent: Atlanta Falcons
Even though Sam Darnold has been up and down, D.J. Moore has been great and remains Darnold’s #1 option against an awful Falcons defense.
Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Houston Texans
Even though Kupp will probably produce more, the Texans’ defense sucks and Woods is the Rams’ clear #2 receiver which means another big game for Woods is on the horizon.
Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers, Opponent: New England Patriots
The Patriots have an amazing defense and that could mean trouble for Mike Williams’ production. He is still the #1 targeted receiver for Justin Herbert and that also could mean a big day for him. Williams is a huge boom/bust player this week.
Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers, Opponent: New England Patriots
One of the best and most consistent receivers in the NFL, Allen will catch 6+ passes every game, even against the Patriots’ defense. However, who knows if one of those 6 catches will be for a touchdown as Allen has struggled to get into the End Zone this season.
Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons, Opponent: Carolina Panthers
The Panthers have an elite defense but that should not stop Matt Ryan from targeting Ridley, his favorite receiver. Expect a solid week for Ridley, even if he doesn’t record a touchdown.
Adam Theilen, Minnesota Vikings, Opponent: Dallas Cowboys
Theilen had a monster week two weekends ago before his bye week this last weekend. Expect Theilen to be targeted the most as Trevon Diggs will be guarding Justin Jefferson in coverage, not Theilen.
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Opponent: New Orleans Saints
The Saints have an up-and-down defense, but Brady should continue his great season and throw to Evans a ton this weekend. I expect Evans to have 100 yards receiving and a touchdown, even up against the elite Saints secondary.
Terry McLaurin, Washington Football Team, Opponent: Denver Broncos
McLaurin is Washington’s obvious #1 receiver, but the Broncos’ secondary and defense overall is elite. I would obviously start him since Taylor Heinicke will be targeting him the most, but just remember he could also have a very bad day if the Bronco’s defense impresses.
Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Opponent: New Orleans Saints
Like Evans, Godwin is poised for a big game, especially if the Saints’ defensive gameplay is to disrupt Brady and Evans.
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings, Opponent: Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys have a great secondary lead by Trevon Diggs. Who is going to get Jefferson’s assignment? Trevon Diggs, but even so, Jefferson should still have 100 yards receiving, but who knows if he can get into the end zone. Adam Theilen is a much safer start this week since Trevon Diggs won’t be on him.
Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys, Opponent: Minnesota Vikings
Cooper has been up and down all year, but if Dak Prescott targets him, except Cooper to have a huge game against a weak Vikings defense.
Julio Jones, Tennessee Titans, OLpponent: Indianapolis Colts
I’m expecting a breakout day for one of the most talented receivers we have ever seen. He is a must-start every single week even with his inconsistent production this season.
DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks, Opponent: Jacksonville Jaguars
Even against the Jaguars, Metcalf could be limited due to Geno Smith continuing to be his Quarterback. He could have a good day as well though since Geno Smith will see the worst defense he has seen all season long and may try to exploit that by throwing it to Metcalf. Metcalf remains a big-time boom/bust player as long as Geno Smith remains behind center.
Kadarius Toney New York Giants, Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs
Toney is going up against one of the worst defenses in football and he should be targeted a ton in this game because of that.
Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts, Opponent: Tennessee Titans
Pittman Jr. remains the Colts’ #1 receiver, even with T.Y. Hilton back. Hilton takes away some of Pittman Jr’s production, but Pittman Jr. is still a must-start every week because of how many times he is targeted and his great consistency on the year.
DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles, Opponent: Detroit Lions
Maybe Jalen Hurts will finally be able to pass the football against the Lions and their horrendous defense. If that is the case, expect Smith to have a monster game. Smith is a must-start this weekend, even with how much risk he brings with Jalen Hurts as his QB.
A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans, Opponent: Indianapolis Colts
Brown is still one of the most talented receivers in the NFL. As long as Ryan Tannehill can get him the ball more like last weekend, the Titans will succeed.
Sterling Shepard, New York Giants, Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs
If both Shepard and Kadarius Toney play, they should both have pretty good days going against a horrendous Chiefs defense.
