Week 8 PPR Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs, Opponent: New York Giants
Kelce should have one of his Travis Kelce games and put up over 100 yards receiving with 1-2 touchdown catches.
Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys, Opponent: Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings have an awful defense and Schultz is one of star Quarterback Dak Prescott’s favorite targets.
Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Opponent: New Orleans Saints
The Saints are up and down on defense, but Tom Brady always loves to target his big Tight End. Expect a huge game for Gronkowski this weekend if he plays.
T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions, Opponent: Philadelphia Eagles
Hockenson has been up and down all season long, and the Eagles defense has been up and down all season long. I am taking Hockenson in this one.
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons, Opponent: Carolina Panthers
I don’t love the matchup here for Pitts, but he is still Kyle Pitts. If the game plan includes targeting Kyle Pitts, then Kyle Pitts will have an amazing game. That may sound simple but complain about the Falcons coach if you want to. Pitts has only been implemented in the offense in two games this season.
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles, Opponent: Detroit Lions
The Lions’ defense is terrible and Jalen Hurts and the Eagles should exploit that by throwing to Goedert and others for a big passing day.
Zach Ertz, Arizona Cardinals, Opponent: Green Bay Packers
Kyler Murray will have to win this game in a shootout and since he will be passing so much, Ertz should get enough targets and receptions to put together a very solid fantasy day.
Noah Fant, Denver Broncos, Opponent: Washington Football Team
The Washington Football Team doesn’t have a great defense and Fant should have a huge day against them if Teddy Bridgewater targets him.
Ricky Seals-Jones Washington Football Team, Opponent: Denver Broncos
The Broncos have a great defense, but Seals-Jones has been oddly consistent in getting above 10 fantasy points per matchup regardless of the opponent. He should have another good week against the Broncos this weekend.
Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Houston Texans
Higbee has been inconsistent with his targets and production so it is hard to tell how good he will be this weekend. Whenever he gets the targets, he is great, but sometimes he doesn’t get the targets.
C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals, Opponent: New York Jets
The Jets are so bad and Uzomah is poised for a huge day because of that. Start him.
Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins, Opponent: Buffalo Bills
Gesicki ranked 13th? You must be kidding right? No, the Bills defense is elite and Too Tagovailoa is doing nothing, absolutely nothing against the Bills in this game, meaning Gesicki will only garner a couple of receptions.
Evan Engram, New York Giants, Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs
This all depends on how Daniel Jones plays, but the Chiefs are ranked close to last in every category on defense and Engram could have a big day because of that.
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots, Opponent: Los Angeles Chargers
I don’t love Henry in this matchup. The Chargers have a really good defense and the Patriots a really bad offense. Something tells me Henry will barely be targeted in this one and could have a very bad game. I would sit him this weekend.
Jonnu Smith, New England Patriots, Opponent: Los Angeles Chargers
Smith and fellow TE mate Hunter Henry are both big boom/bust players. Henry has gotten more touchdown grabs this season, making him a better start over Smith. However, the Chargers are not a good matchup for either of these Tight Ends.
