Week 7 Fantasy Football PPR Wide Receiver Rankings
Can DK Metcalf be productive with Geno Smith? What about Michael Pittman Jr's struggles since T.Y. Hilton returned? Is this an issue?
Here are the top 25 WR’s for Week 7.
Top 25:
Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers, Opponent: Washington Football Team
Adams is just on another level this season. He is Rodgers’ favorite target, and the #1 fantasy receiver every single week. The Washington Football has a terrible secondary and Adams will exploit that this weekend with another 150+ receiving yards game with a touchdown.
Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs, Opponent: Tennessee Titans
Hill had another good week in a win against the Washington Football team and should have another monster week against the Titans who have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL.
Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Detroit Lions
Expect Kupp to have another huge day for the Rams as Stafford is going to pass for over 400 yards against his former team.
DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals, Opponent: Houston Texans
Hopkins has had back-to-back really good weeks and this weekend he will exploit the Texans secondary. Expect Hopkins to have his best game of the year against his former team that gave him up for nothing.
Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons, Opponent: Miami Dolphins
Ridley hasn’t been consistent all year, but he should have a monster day against the Dolphins’ subpar defense.
D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers, New York Giants
Moore should have a comeback game against a Giants defense that hasn’t played well all season long. Sam Darnold hasn’t played great recently but he will probably have a big game against the Giants as well and Moore is his favorite target.
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers, Opponent: Indianapolis Colts
Samuel is the 49ers’ #1 option and is as consistent as any player in PPR Fantasy Football. Expect another big week for Samuel, especially with a more pass-heavy offense since Jimmy Garroppolo will be playing instead of Trey Lance.
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Opponent: Chicago Bears
Evans is Brady’s favorite target with Rob Gronkowski, but if Gronkowski continues to miss games, Evans will continue to produce. Yes, the Bears defense is great, but it won’t be against Tom Brady and the Bucs. Don’t overthink this, Evans will have a huge game and so will Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin.
Terry McLaurin, Washington Football Team, Opponent: Green Bay Packers
McLaurin is the Football Team’s #1 option and he should have a great game against. the Packers.
Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens, Opponent: Cincinnati Bengals
Brown is still Jackson’s favorite target and even though the Bengals defense has played well all season, they Ravens are on a roll. I am expecting a huge game for Brown with a touchdown reception and 100 yards reviving. Lamar Jackson is passing more this season and Brown benefits from that tremendously.
Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Detroit Lions
Cooper Kupp may take away some of Woods’ production, but Woods will still pull in a touchdown and have over 70 yards receiving. Both Woods and Kupp are due for huge days and both of them will finish as top 11 Wide Receivers.
Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Opponent: Chicago Bears
He has been so hot scoring touchdowns in each of his last two games while also being targeted a ton in both of those games. Like Mike Evans, Brown will stay hot even against a good Bears defense.
D.K. Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks, Opponent: New Orleans Saints
Metcalf is a top 5 receiver every week when Russell Wilson is his Quarterback, not Geno Smith. Metcalf will get the targets, but who knows if Smith will get him the ball in the end-zone. Either way, just because of Geno Smith’s inconsistencies, Metcalf is for the first time a boom/bust player this week. An obvious must-start though.
A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans, Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs
Brown is coming off of his breakout game where he pulled in 97 receiving yards. The Chiefs have one of the worst defenses in all of football and Ryan Tannehill should get him the ball a ton. However, he shares targets with fellow #1 receiver Julio Jones so we will see if his production will be amazing. Brown is going to have a solid week regardless though. A must-start.
DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles, Opponent: Las Vegas Raiders
Smith will have a huge week since the Raiders defense isn’t great and he is Jalen Hurt’s favorite target. I think Hurts is mad he hasn’t passed the ball well the last couple of weeks and he will play well this week and Smith will have a huge game in a shootout against the Raiders.
Julio Jones, Tennessee Titans, Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs
Jones is going to have a fantastic week against a terrible defense in the Chiefs. Ryan Tannehill is coming off of a big game and Jones and Brown both will have huge games because of that. Expect a shootout. Jones is a must-start this weekend.
Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Opponent: Chicago Bears
Godwin will probably not be as productive as Mike Evans and Antonio Brown, but he will still be great against the Bears. Brady will target him 8 times and he could pull in a touchdown with a ton of receiving yards. Godwin should have a really good week and is an obvious must-start every week.
Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals, Opponent: Baltimore Ravens
I think the Ravens will destroy the Bengals this weekend and I think it could even be a 40-10 kind of game. IF Burrow throws a touchdown this weekend, it will probably be to Chase, and because of that, and being Burrow’s #1 target, Chase will perform well even with Burrow having a bad week against a Ravens defense who only gave up 6 points to the Chargers last weekend.
Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins, Opponent: Atlanta Falcons
Waddle is Tua Tagovailoa’s favorite target and he had two touchdown receptions last weekend. Expect another good game with a touchdown grab for Waddle this week. He is a start this week for sure.
Michael Pittman Jr, Indianapolis Colts, Opponent: San Francisco 49ers
Pittman Jr.’s production hasn’t been the same with T.Y. Hilton coming back, but the 49ers’ secondary is awful and Pittman Jr. should have a huge boneblack week for the Colts in a surprisingly high-scoring game. I expect a touchdown grab and 100 yards receiving for Pittman Jr. against the 49ers. Start him with confidence.
Sterling Shepard, New York Giants, Opponent: Carolina Panthers
Shepard is going to be the only receiver basically for Daniel Jones and the Giants’ offense if Kadarius Toney remains out against the Panthers. The Panthers have a great defense, but Shepard will get a ton of targets and should have a really good game this weekend. Start him.
Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos, Opponent: Cleveland Browns
Sutton is Teddy Bridgewater’s #1 target and always has a big game if the Broncos can put up points. See that is the issue, as the Broncos’ offense, hasn’t been consistent all season long and the Browns have a good defense. Sutton is boom or bust this week and if you are willing to take a risk, start him.
Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans, Opponent: Arizona Cardinals
Cooks is Davis Mills’ favorite target, and even though Davis Mills didn’t throw a touchdown last weekend, Cooks still had 89 yards receiving. Cooks is a start every week just because you know he is going to get the targets.
A.J. Green, Arizona Cardinals, Opponent: Houston Texans
You could go Rondale Moore or Christian Kirk here, but I am going to go with A.J. Green to be the 2nd most productive receiver on the Cardinals this weekend. That means a touchdown reception and 70 yards receiving, but since the Cardinals have so many weapons, Green is a huge boom/bust player this week. I would start him against the Texans though. I have a good feeling he will have a big game.
Jakobi Meyers, New England Patriots, Opponent: New York Jets
I am expecting a big week from Meyers who is Mac Jones's #1 non-Tight End target. Meyers hasn’t been good in a couple of weeks, but he will have a huge game against the Jets. I just have a feeling. Start him with confidence against one of the weakest teams in the NFL.
