Week 7 Fantasy Football PPR Tight End Rankings
Continue to ride Darren Waller and Dalton Schultz? What about Kyle Pitts and Hunter Henry?
Top 15 Tight Ends:
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs, Opponent: Tennessee Titans
Kelce is easily the best TE in football and will have another monster week against the Titans’ awful defense.
Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens, Opponent: Cincinnati Bengals
Andrews has been Tight End #1 and #2 the last two weeks and will continue his awesome fantasy production against the Bengals this weekend.
Darren Waller, Las Vegas Raiders, Opponent: Philadelphia Eagles
Waller hasn’t been targeted much the past couple of weeks (which has obviously been ridiculous since he’s the Raiders’ best player), but expect him to be much more involved this weekend against the Eagles.
Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins, Opponent: Atlanta Falcons
Gesicki is one of Tua Tagovailoa’s favorite targets and he should have another big game against the Falcons this weekend. Start him with confidence.
T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions, Opponent: Los Angeles Rams
Hockenson’s production has been inconsistent because of Jared Goff’s inconsistencies. However, I do think that Hockenson will be able to have one of his 80+ yard receiving games, even if he fails to pull in a touchdown.
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons, Opponent: Miami Dolphins
Pitts is coming off of a monster fantasy breakout performance, but Calvin Ridley is returning and that may hurt his targets a little bit.
Either way, I think the Falcons have realized that they need to get Pitts more involved and they should get him a little bit more involved again this weekend against a bad Dolphins defense.
Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Detroit Lions
Since Matthew Stafford is poised for a big game against his former team, I would expect a big game from Higbee who has been inconsistent with his production, but has also benefited from Stafford having big games.
Noah Fant, Denver Broncos, Opponent: Cleveland Browns
Fant is coming off of a huge 25 fantasy point performance where he was targeted `11 times against the Raiders.
The Browns have a much better defense than the Raiders, but if Fant gets 7+ targets from Teddy Bridgewater he is poised for another big day regardless of who his matchup is.
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots, Opponent: New York Jets
Henry has had a touchdown in three straight games, but his targets have gone up and down. He only pulled in two receptions last weekend, but salvaged his fantasy day by one of them being a touchdown.
Either way, Henry is a start for your fantasy team just because he gets a touchdown almost every game and the Pats are playing the Jets.
Zach Ertz, Arizona Cardinals, Opponent: Houston Texans
Ertz had to be inactive last weekend after playing for the Eagles last Thursday night then being traded the following day, meaning he was ineligible to play again that weekend.
Either way, with Maxx Williams dealing with an injury, the Cardinals will slot Ertz in as TE1 against a very weak Texans defense. Expect Ertz to have a big day if given the targets by Kyler Murray.
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles, Opponent: Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders have a bad defense and just gave up 25 fantasy points to the Broncos Tight End Noah Fant, meaning they will probably give up a lot of points to Goedert on the Eagles too.
Goedert is now the only Tight End that is going to be used for the Eagles after trading Zach Ertz and he should benefit from that tremendously.
Ricky Seals-Jones, Washington Football Team, Opponent: Green Bay Packers
Seals-Jones is coming off of a huge fantasy week where he put up 16 fantasy points and could build off of that production against an up and down Packers defense. He is a good start this week.
Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears, Opponent: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers defense has been up and down and Kmet and the Bears offense could benefit from that.
I would sit Kmet and every Tight End on the rest of this list, but Kmet always is a boom/bust player and could have a big game if given the targets by Justin Fields.
C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals, Opponent: Baltimore Ravens
Uzomah has had many good fantasy performances this season, but the Ravens are coming off of only giving up 6 points to a very good Chargers offense.
I think that the Ravens will contain Joe Burrow and Uzomah pretty well. I wouldn’t start him, but Uzomah is always a big boom/bust player.
Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Opponent: Chicago Bears
Rob Gronkowski is listed as questionable and has been dealing with an injury for three weeks now. Brate has been the guy who has stepped in, but he hasn’t been productive at all.
However, if the Bears try to limit Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, and Mike Evans’ production and targets, Brate could be poised for a big game. He hasn’t shown anything yet, which is why he should be a sit in all leagues, but he remains a big boom/bust player nonetheless.
