Week 7 Fantasy Football PPR Rankings Running Backs
With a lot of bye weeks for elite RB's there aren't many options for fantasy players this week
Top 25 Running Backs:
Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans, Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs
Henry is playing the Chiefs and should finish as the #1 overall Running Back against a horrendous defense who can’t stop the run or the pass to save their life.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints, Opponent: Seattle Seahawks
Kamara hasn’t had the year everyone has hoped him to have, but he is still Alvin Kamara, one of the best rushers and pass catches of any RB in the NFL. It should be a confidence booster game for him since he is playing the Seahawks, who have the worst run defense in the NFL.
Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts, Opponent: Houston Texans
Taylor will have another monster game even against a really good 49ers run defense. He is the #1 option on this Colts team and will be involved in the passing game and the run game as he is every single week.
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers, Opponent: Washington Football Team
Even after the Football Team put up a decent defensive performance against the Chiefs last weekend, Jones will have a good week because he is Aaron Jones and the Football Team should be back to their ways. Simple as that. Jones is always a safe bet to get you 15 fantasy points with the upside of even more if he runs for or catches a touchdown.
D’Andre Swift, Detroit Lions: Opponent: Los Angeles Rams
Swift is going to have a good week running and catching the ball against the Rams even with their decent run defense. Start him with confidence as he is always Detroit’s #1 option, even though he hasn’t been that consistent lately.
Antonio Gibson, Washington Football Team, Opponent: Green Bay Packers
The Packers don’t have a great defense and Gibson is listed as questionable. However, if he plays he should have a great game as he is the teams #1 RB and one of their top receivers as well. If he plays, start him with supreme confidence.
Cordarrelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons, Opponent: Miami Dolphins
It wasn’t a hype fantasy week with Cordarelle Patterson having a bye week, but now he is back and everyone is interested in seeing what he can do against the Dolphins. Will Patterson still be used as much in the passing game with Calvin Ridley’s return? Will Mike Davis or Patterson get more rushing snaps? If Patterson has another 20+ fantasy point week, I need start ranking him higher.
Leonard Fournette, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Opponent: Chicago Bears
Fournette is coming off of a 30 fantasy point performance, and even though he should regress a little bit against the Bears, he is always a must-start, especially with Brady’s thumb injury which could affect the passing game.
Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers, Opponent: New York Giants
The Giants’ defense is atrocious and Hubbard is coming off of a very productive game. IF Sam Darnold continues to struggle, Hubbard will have a monster week with multiple touchdown runs.
Elijah Mitchell, San Francisco 49ers, Opponent: Indianapolis Colts
Mitchell should have a really productive week as the 49ers should shift back to a heavily reliant run game. Mitchell would have picked up 13+ fantasy points against the Cardinals two weekends ago had Garroppolo been the QB over Lance who took away a lot of Mitchell’s run opportunities. Start Mitchell this week.
Darell Henderson Jr, Los Angeles Rams, Opponent: Detroit Lions
The Lions defense is terrible and with a lot of elite Running Backs on bye weeks, Henderson is a must-start this weekend.
Damien Harris, New England Patriots, Opponent: New York Jets
Harris is going to be RB1, not Rhamondre Stevenson. Harris is going to get you a touchdown and over 90 yards rushing. Start Harris with confidence this week.
Myles Gaskin, Miami Dolphins: Opponent: Atlanta Falcons
Myles Gaskin is going to have a really good bounce-back game against the Falcons. I think that the Dolphins understand that they did not use Gaskin the way they should have used him last weekend against the Jaguars, and I think Gaskin will be more involved in the passing game this weekend and he is a must-start for me, as crazy as it sounds because of his inconsistencies. Sometimes, you just gotta trust your gut and my gut says start him over Joe Mixon.
Khalil Herbert, Chicago Bears, Opponent: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Herbert had a big game with almost 100 rushing yards and a touchdown run last weekend and should have another big game even if Damien Williams is still back against the Bucs. If Williams plays, then both of these guys will get you fantasy points.
Darell Williams, Kansas City Chiefs, Opponent: Tennessee Titans
This will be a good matchup considering the Titans just beat the Bills. Williams should have a good game against a bad Titans defense. Start him.
Deovntae Booker, New York Giants, Opponent: Carolina Panthers
Booker is the only back healthy for the Giants, and the only reason why the Giants stopped using his last weekend was that they were behind by 25 early and needed to pass. He should have a decent game against the Panthers because of his ability to catch the ball at an elite level to go along with being the Giants’ lead back even if the Giants are down by a ton.
Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals, Opponent: Baltimore Ravens
Mixon could have a big day against the Ravens, but its the Ravens that only gave up 6 points to a high-powered Chargers offense. He is a sit for me this week despite him being one of the more consistent RB’s in the league.
Mike Davis, Atlanta Falcons, Opponent: Miami Dolphins
Cordarelle Patterson should be more productive, but Mike Davis should also have a good game against a pretty bad Dolphins defense.
Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders, Opponent: Philadelphia Eagles
Jacobs is going up against the Eagles who have been up and down with their rush defense. I just don’t think Jacobs will be implemented in the offense much this weekend. Sit him.
Chase Edmonds, Arizona Cardinals, Opponent: Houston Texans
Edmonds is good and may have a good week, but James Conner has played well in recent games and who knows how Edmonds and Conner will be used. If Edmonds gets some work in the passing game, which is where his value lies, he should outperform 21.
Alex Collins, Seattle Seahawks, Opponent: New Orleans Saints
Geno Smith isn’t a great passer and because of that Collins will get a ton of rushing attempts which means he could have a big week if he capitalizes on his snaps and touches. He isn’t Chris Carson and that is evident, but he could still have a big game.
Jamaal Williams, Detroit Lions, Opponent: Los Angeles Rams
Willians won’t have a fantastic game as the backup to D’Andre Swift but he is always a big boom/bust player because of his pass-catching ability while also getting some rushing yards too.
Damien Williams, Chicago Bears, Opponent: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Williams is not as productive as Khalil Herbert which is why I see him as RB2 on the bears this weekend. Even if he gets 40 percent of the snaps he will still be productive making him a top 25 back this week.
D’Ernest Johnson, Cleveland Browns
Johnson will fill in for Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt this weekend as they are both out with injuries. Johnson is going up against a tough defense in the Broncos and I would stay far away from him in fantasy. Sit him
James Conner, Arizona Cardinals, Opponent: Houston Texans
Chase Edmonds should be a better start in fantasy this week but they both share snaps and Conner could have a good game against a Texans team that allows a good number of fantasy points this season. Still too risky to start though.
