Top 40 Wide Receivers for Week 4 Fantasy Football
Can Cooper Kupp keep it up? Can Tyler Lockett go back to his first two week dominance? What about Amari Cooper and Tyreek Hill?
Throughout the first three weeks of the football season, we are starting to see who are the most consistent fantasy players. Even with tough matchup after tough matchup, Cooper Kupp raises his game and always produces. Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson have both done the same thing so far as well. Guys like DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Tyreek Hill have been too inconsistent for Fantasy Owners and it must be frustrating. Tyler Boyd, Ja’Marr Chase, D.J. Chark, and Marvin Jones Jr. are all exempt from this list considering they played on Thursday night. Remember, these lists are to help you guys win your matchups this week and hopefully your leagues in general. Furthermore, here are my Week 4 rankings based on matchups and productivity.
Top 40:
Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams
Kupp has gotta be #1 regardless of the matchup until he stops averaging 30 fantasy points per game. He is on another level this year and he and Matthew Stafford have a connection that is the league’s best right now.
Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers
Keep riding the hot hand in Williams. This season is no fluke. He is Justin Herbert’s #1 Red-Zone target and might even be his #1 target in general. Williams has continued to produce week after week and a matchup against a lackluster Raiders defense should not deter his production whatsoever. Expect a touchdown or two and 100 yards receiving from Williams.
Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Cheifs
Hill has had two bad weeks in a row and I don’t think he has ever had 3 in a row, so I am assuming since the Chiefs have lost the two games they haven’t gotten him involved that he will be targeted and implemented in the offense way more this week against the Eagles. The Eagles dealt with some defensive injuries which obviously showed against the Cowboys when they gave up 41 points on Monday night. Who knows how healthy they will be against the Chiefs and I expect Hill to have a huge day.
Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers
Adams dominated a very good 49ers defense and who says he won’t dominate the very good Steelers defense? I think he will and Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams will have another special week.
DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals
Hopkins is playing the Rams this weekend, but I think it will be a shootout and for the Cardinals to win, they will have to get D-Hop the ball constantly, even if he is going up against Jalen Ramsey who has owned him so far. I think this becomes the first time Ramsey is owned by a WR all season long or maybe ever. Ramsey is elite but so is D-Hop and this will be a fun matchup to watch.
Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills
Diggs hasn’t lived up to his fantasy hype yet, but Josh Allen is bound to target him a bunch this weekend against a very weak Texans defense. Expect a huge game from Diggs for your fantasy team.
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
Although Adam Thielen takes away some touchdowns and fantasy points from Jefferson, Kirk Cousins throws so much that both of them are bound to have big weeks again. Jefferson was stellar last week and I expect nothing less again this week against Cleveland.
DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks
Davante Adams destroyed the injury-ridden 49ers secondary on Sunday night so expect Metcalf to do the same. He is the most physical receiver the game has seen in years and he will be a matchup nightmare against the 49ers.
Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers
Allen will be targeted mostly before the Red-Zone where Herbert will target Mike Williams, but Allen should still pick up 100 + recieving yards and maybe even a touchdown against a sloppy Las Vegas defense.
Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings
Like Jefferson, the touchdown machine Thielen will score another touchdown this week (probably) and pick up 50+ yards receiving. As long as Cousins’ protection is good, he should exploit the Browns’ secondary with his big-time targets, Thielen being one of them.
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
Lamb has been Dak Prescott’s favorite target since Week 2 and Lamb has not disappointed fantasy owners. Lamb will undoubtedly get 100 + receiving yards and maybe even a touchdown.
Tyler Lockett
Lockett should have a great, bounceback week against a depleted 49ers secondary. If it truly is a shootout, which I think it will be, Lockett is bound to get involved even if it’s not to the extent Metcalf gets involved.
D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers
One of the most underrated receivers in all of football is now going to be the #1 option on offense the whole game against the Cowboys on Sunday with McCaffrey being hurt. Moore is Darnold’s favorite target and will produce again for fantasy players.
Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott’s second WR1 is Cooper who is a route running genius. He hasn’t been fantastic since his 30+ fantasy point night in Week 1 against the Bucs, but he should get back to 100 + yards this week with a touchdown.
Terry McLaurin, Washington Football Team
McLaurin will have a huge day against a shifty Atlanta Falcons defense. Doesn’t matter who his QB is or how talented he is. Start him.
Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons
Ridley is so talented it is such a shame that the Falcons can’t get him more involved. I expect a much-improved fantasy week for Ridley against a Washington defense that just gave up 43 points to the Bills.
DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
Hear me out. Yes, Smith is coming off two miserable weeks in a row, but Kanas City has a sloppy secondary other than Tyrann Mathieu so I would expect the Eagles to exploit the Corners and get Smith way more involved this week.
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers
Samuel is poised for a big week against a sloppy Seahawks defense, but he ranks 19th because I expect Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers to run way more than they pass. The Seahawks actually have a much better pass defense than they do a rush defense.
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Evans is 6-5 and a matchup nightmare against opposing defenses. When Tom Brady goes into New England on Sunday night expect him to exploit the Patriots with his big weapons including Evans, Rob Gronkowski (if he plays), and Chris Godwin.
Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Godwin is poised for a huge day along with Evans as the Bucs will pass a ton and let Brady do his thing.
Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans
Poor Brandin Cooks has to be on the Texans where his talent is wasted. Regardless, Cooks is as consistent in fantasy football as anyone and should pick up 100 + yards receiving even with Davis Mills being his Quarterback.
Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos
I think this game will be surprisingly close and higher scoring than people think. Sutton is again the #1 option for the Broncos with Jerry Jeudy continuing to be out.
Michael Pittman Jr, Indianapolis Colts
Pittman Jr. is poised for another big week as the #1 option of Carson Wentz. As long as Wentz’s ankles are somewhat working, Pittman Jr will have a huge day.
Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers
Aiyuk is coming off a breakout week where he scored a touchdown. If Samuel is guarded heavily, Aiyuk is poised for another big week if he gets the targets.
Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears
Robinson is such a talented receiver who is the obvious # option in the passing game for the Bears. However, Matt Nagy hasn’t been able to produce any passing success all season long, and if last week was any indication of what is to come, you may have to sit Robinson until further notice. He is a big boom-bust player for this week.
Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams
Robert Woods hasn’t been targeted as much as Cooper Kupp, but he still is as talented of a receiver as they come. He and Kupp should both have huge days against the Cardinals’ lackluster defense.
Corey Davis, New York Jets
After two off weeks in a row, Corey Davis should be able to catch a touchdown if Zach Wilson can get him the ball. Davis has a good outlook against the Titans, who have given up so many points on the year that I have lost count.
Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Brown is a big boom or bust fantasy player this week. Who knows how much he will be targeted with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin as the other receivers. However, I think he will outperform this #28 position.
Odell Beckham Jr, Cleveland Browns
Beckham is still Baker Mayfield’s #1 option, and he should have a huge day because of that. They are also playing the Vikings who have a terrible defense.
Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers
Johnson is literally the only target Big Ben can actually hit in-game so far this season, so he is the safest bet to play from the Steelers this week in Fantasy Football besides Najee Harris.
Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens
This is a risky start because Denver’s defense is so good, but if Lamar Jackson is going to throw to anyone in the Red-Zone it is going to be either Brown or Andrews. Brown is a big boom/bust player this week since it remains to be seen how much the Ravens can score against a dominant Broncos defense.
Sterling Shepard, New York Giants
Daniel Jones’ favorite target will have a hard time against this Saints defense. He ranks #33 only because if Jones is going to throw a TD to anyone, it is probably going to be Shepard.
Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo Bills
Sanders had a huge week last weekend against the Washington Football Team and could have another big week since the Bills are playing an awful Texans team.
Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills
Beasley is another guy that could benefit from the Bills playing the awful Texans. Beasley could have 20 fantasy points or he could have 1 fantasy point. He is another boom/bust guy.
Robby Anderson, Carolina Panthers
Anderson is going to have a good week this week. I can feel it. Sam Darnold loves him but has been sticking to D.J. Moore all season long. With Trevon Diggs of the Cowboys likely sticking to D.J. Moore, Anderson could have a huge day.
Jakobi Meyers, New England Patriots
Meyers is the #1 target for Mac Jones and should have a decent week against a Bucs defense that has been giving up a lot of points. Start Meyers with confidence this week if you have a weak WR core.
Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas Raiders
Ruggs could benefit from Quarterback Derek Carr’s continued stellar play. Hunter Renfrow is another guy like Ruggs III who could have a huge day.
Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders
Renfrow could have a huge day depending on who Derek Carr targets. Carr is always back and forth on Darren Waller, Henry Ruggs III, and Hunter Renfrow so any of them or all of them could have big days depending on the gameplan against a surprisingly good Chargers defense.
Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals
Another big boom/bust guy is Christian Kirk who could benefit from a shootout between the Rams and Cardinals on Sunday. He could also have an awful day since the Rams defense is elite. No one knows and that is why he is ranked 40th.
